ABC publicist Chris Chamberlin has died suddenly while holidaying in India, leaving the entertainment industry in shock.
The 39-year-old had worked at the national broadcaster since 2014, handling the publicity for Four Corners, the 7.30 Report and Foreign Correspondents.
Colleague Leigh Sales posted a tribute online, tweeting: ‘I’m so very sad to learn of the death of my colleague Chris Chamberlin.’
‘Just a delightful person to be around. Condolences to his nearest.’

It’s unclear how Mr Chamberlin died.
His latest social media post was a light-hearted tweet about the cheap price of alcohol in India while waiting for train tickets to get approved.
Sydney Mardis Gras described Mr Chamberlin as a ‘cherished member’ of the LGBTI community.
A statement released by the ABC said the publicist would be ‘greatly missed’, Newscorp reported.

‘It is with great sadness that I am writing of the recent passing of Chris Chamberlin, a dear colleague and friend, who died earlier today while on holidays in India.
‘Chris has been a key part of our ABC family for over four years. He originally started in May 2008, but left later that year, returning to the ABC in July 2014.
‘He has spent most of his ABC career as a Senior Publicist across News and Television, and he was a star at his job, as he really loved media.
‘Chris has made many friends through his work at the ABC and I know I speak on behalf of everyone by saying Chris will be greatly missed.’
A GoFundMe has been set up by friend David Scott to help bring Mr Chamberlin back home for a proper burial and funeral.
Lateline producer Jamie Cummins described the popular publicist as ‘incredibly kind, very friendly, and always willing to go out of his way for you’.
TV Journalist Marc Fennell said Chris was ‘one of the most fun, genuine people in Australian TV and film.’
