iApple officially announced the operating system that will power its eagerly awaited iPhone 8 – iOS 11. The software will include a new AI and augmented reality features.
Apple Pay
Apple Pay will be available in 50 percent of retailers in the US by end of year.
It can also now be used for person-to-person payments.
The Apple Pay app is also now available as an app within the draw in Messages.
Users can also now authenticate payments using Touch ID.

Siri
Siri now has a male, American voice, and is said to be more expressive, in both the male and female form, thanks to a new visual interface.
The smart assistant can also quickly translate English into Chinese, French, German, Italian and Spanish, with more language combinations to come.
Siri also uses on-device learning in iOS 11 to learn more about topics that are interesting to us.
What Siri learns on one device is synced across all devices, but this is still private thanks to end-to-end encryption, Apple says.

Camera
Apple has added HEVC video, offering more efficient compression.
Image quality has also been improved with betterlow light performance, optical image stabilization, true tone flash and HDR.
As for Live Photos, you can now trim them, as well as mark any part of the video as your key photo. Live Photos can also now be looped, or viewed on long exposure.
The Memories album now has automatic re-orientation in video playback when you flip your iPhone around.

Control Center
The control center can now be seen on single page, with greater depth on a 3D slider.
Lock screen and notification center
The lock screen and notification center have been combined, so users can swipe between them, with widgets on the left, and camera on the right.

Maps
Apple Maps now has floor plans of shopping malls and airports, so users can plan their expedition.
The navigation tool now shows lane guidance, and the upper speed limit.
Do Not Disturb While Driving app makes sure users keep their eyes on the road, by preventing notifications from appearing. You can select which notifications will come through from which people when this app is on.

Home Kit
Speakers have been added to Home Kit, and access them via AirPlay 2, which has multi-room audio in iOS.
Users can play music through speakers throughout their home and control it from their phone.
Music
Users can now find out what their friends are listening to from within the Music app.
You can make your profile public or private if you don’t want people seeing what you are listening to.

A new tab, called ‘Today’ that shows apps, and stories about developers on a daily basis.
A ‘Games’ tab shows everything that is happening with games, and in-app purchases, such as new levels or upgrades.
Apps also has its own tab, with dedicated features and charts for each app.
