Family’s sting op to take down man, 33, texting teen, 15
Security footage shows the moment a Del City, Oklahoma family tackled a 33-year-old man to the ground, after he showed up at their house to have sex with a 15-year-old girl.
The teen’s father, who asked not to be named, told KOCO that he found out about the inappropriate relationship through the Family Time app, which allows him to monitor his daughter’s communications.
He immediately reported the sexually explicit texts to the police, but didn’t want to wait until the relationship was consummated.

So he posed as his daughter and invited the man over to the family’s home, planning to have sex in a tent in the backyard.
On the night of June 22, the father-of-three’s wife (the teen’s stepmom) sat in the tent and waited for the man to arrive, while other members of the family watched nearby.

The dad’s cousin follows after to help hold him down.
Finally, the dad is seen coming to their aid with zip ties to bind the man’s hands and feet until police arrive.

When police arrived they arrested the man on charges of unlawful communication by the use of technology, using a phone and social media to communicate with a minor. The man was no injured in the incident.
The teen was inside the house and completely unaware of what was going on.
Major Jody Suit of the Del City Police Department said she doesn’t recommend setting up your own sting operation, but told KSWO, ‘As a parent, I don’t blame him. I think it’s your right to protect your children’.
‘So the moment he entered my yard, that point in time, I had to do what was right as a father,’ the father said.
