A indifferent opening echoes Stateside and Asian sessions overnight, despite oil prices continuing to firm.
US equity markets were mixed last night, as the Dow Jones and S&P 500 closed just above breakeven, while negative closes for large cap tech stocks Alphabet, Amazon and Facebook saw the Nasdaq underperform.
In focus will be the fallout from Prime Minister May’s £1billion pact with the DUP to ensure a working parliamentary majority and her Brexit offer on EU citizens’ rights.
Traders will receive some insight into the state of the retail industry, as Carpetright and Debenhams publish corporate earnings
